| Since
this painting is not record of an actual iceberg, but rather
a romantic expression, not all of the details of the painting
make sense when translated into physical space. Just at Friedrich
used artistic license in creating the painting, I had to cheat
the angles and shapes of the foam to conform to the contours
of the painting. My intention is to render as accurately as
possible the shapes and proportions of the painting when viewed
from a specific point, while at the same time creating a form
that is effective visually from all angles. |
